PE-to-PE troubleshooting in MPLS VPN networks

End-to-end troubleshooting of MPLS VPN solutions is one of the more complex network troubleshooting tasks, as the MPLS VPN solutions involve several sophisticated technologies and protocols, as well as customer-to-provider interaction, which makes the troubleshooting efforts even more convoluted (did I just write this ... maybe I could survive in corporate marketing world after all :). To segment the overall MPLS VPN solution into troubleshooting domains, you might start with PE-to-PE troubleshooting to remove the potential impact of customer errors, intra-site customer routing, PE-CE interactions and route redistribution issues.
